PromptRunner ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our desktop application.

By using PromptRunner, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Local Data Storage

PromptRunner stores all your data locally on your computer. This includes:

• Application Data: Your applications, features, guides, and conversations (stored in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PromptRunner\)
• Settings: LLM provider configurations, API keys, and preferences (stored in %APPDATA%\PromptRunner\settings\)
• User Content: Prompts, markdown documents, PDFs, images, and conversation history

Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about what we don't collect:

• We do not collect or transmit your prompts or conversations to our servers
• We do not track your usage or behavior
• We do not collect analytics or telemetry data
• We do not access your API keys or credentials
• We do not share your data with third parties

All data processing happens locally on your computer. Your data is used exclusively for:

• Storing and organizing your prompts and documentation
• Facilitating conversations with LLM providers using your API keys
• Saving conversation history for your reference
• Managing application settings and configurations

Important: When you use PromptRunner to interact with AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Z.AI, or others you configure), your prompts are sent directly from your computer to those providers using your API keys. We do not intercept, store, or process this communication. Please review the privacy policies of your chosen AI providers.

PromptRunner integrates with third-party AI service providers. When you use these services, you are subject to their respective privacy policies:

• Z.AI: Please refer to their privacy policy

We recommend reviewing these policies to understand how your prompts and conversations are handled by each provider.

We implement security measures to protect your data:

• Local Storage: All data remains on your computer under your control
• API Keys: Stored locally in configuration files protected by Windows file permissions
• HTTPS: All communications with AI providers use encrypted HTTPS connections
• No Central Database: We don't maintain any servers that store your data

Your Responsibility: Since data is stored locally, please ensure your computer is protected with appropriate security measures (antivirus, firewall, user account controls). Backup your data regularly to prevent loss.

We are planning to add optional cloud storage integration (Google Drive, OneDrive). When this feature is available:

• Cloud sync will be opt-in - disabled by default
• You will choose which cloud provider to use
• Your data will be synced directly between your computer and your personal cloud storage
• We will not have access to your cloud-stored data
• You will be subject to the privacy policy of your chosen cloud provider

This policy will be updated when cloud sync features are released.

Since all data is stored locally on your computer, you have complete control:

• Access: You can access all your data at any time in the local file system
• Modify: You can edit or delete any data through the application or directly in the file system
• Export: All data is stored in standard formats (JSON, Markdown) for easy export
• Delete: You can delete all application data by uninstalling and removing the data directories
• Portability: Copy your data folders to move between computers or create backups

PromptRunner is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through our application, please contact us immediately.

• We collect only the information you provide (name, email, message)
• This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry
• We do not share this information with third parties
• We retain contact form submissions for customer service purposes

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Notifying users through the application for significant changes
